WORLD SUMMIT AI QATAR OPENS WITH GLOBAL TECH LEADERS IN ATTENDANCE
The second edition of the World Summit AI–Qatar 2025 officially opened in Doha on Tuesday, marking another major step in Qatar’s rapidly expanding role in global artificial intelligence dialogue.Organised by Inspired Minds in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the summit is being held from December 9 to 10 under the theme “Building the Future of AI Together.” The event has drawn an exceptional assembly of senior government officials, global technology leaders, AI researchers, academics, industry experts, and entrepreneurs working at the forefront of advanced digital innovation.In the opening ceremony, Minister of Communications and Information Technology HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to transforming itself into a diversified, knowledge-driven digital economy. He emphasised that artificial intelligence is no longer a mere technological option but a strategic necessity that will shape the nation’s economic trajectory, social development, and government services.He noted that hosting the World Summit AI for the second consecutive time reflects Qatar’s ambition to strengthen global partnerships and accelerate the adoption of AI solutions across government entities, fully aligned with the Digital Agenda 2030 and the Qatar National Vision 2030.Reflecting the national momentum behind Qatar’s digital transformation, Abdulla Al Misnad, Head of the Executive Office of HE the Prime Minister and Chairman of Qai, emphasised the country’s evolution toward advanced, technology-driven sectors. He said, “Qatar is undergoing a rapid transformation toward a more diverse and resilient economy, with artificial intelligence now playing a central role in this evolution. The World Summit AI–Qatar 2025 reflects the country’s progress in building an integrated ecosystem that connects policy, digital infrastructure, national talent development, and private-sector collaboration. The GovAI Program stands as a practical model for how advanced technologies can enhance public services and streamline government operations.”From the organiser’s perspective, CEO and Founder of Inspired Minds Sarah Porter highlighted the strategic importance of Doha in the global AI landscape.
