Greece and Saudi Arabia are advancing an electricity interconnection spanning around 2,000 km, including a subsea section via the Suez Canal, aimed at transporting green energy from the Middle East and North Africa to Europe. A feasibility study, to be launched by May 2026, will define technical specifications, infrastructure needs, and inform the Final Investment Decision, officials from ADMIE and the Saudi Electricity Company said.
