OECD FORECASTS CONTINUED STRONG GROWTH FOR GREECE IN 2026-2027 Athens - Macedonian News Agency

The OECD projects Greece’s GDP will grow 2.2% in 2026 and remain robust in 2027, driven by Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) investments, rising employment, and stronger wages. Inflation is expected to ease to around 2.2%, while unemployment will fall to 8.2% in 2026 and 8.1% in 2027. Public debt is forecast to decline steadily from 145.8% of GDP in 2025 to 134.5% by 2027, supported by high primary surpluses. The OECD recommends continued structural reforms, business-friendly policies, labor market support, and improved access to childcare to sustain growth and fiscal stability. (ICE ATENE)
