ADB raises Kazakhstan's economic growth forecast to 5.8% in 2025The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has revised its economic growth forecast for Kazakhstan upward: to 5.8% in 2025 and 4.5% in 2026, compared to 5.3% and 4.3%, respectively, projected in September, according to the bank's updated report.Inflation forecasts were also raised. It is expected to reach 11.2% in 2025 (compared to 10.5% in the September forecast) and decrease to 9.5% in 2026 (compared to the September forecast of 8.4%).The growth forecast for the Caucasus and Central Asia region was revised upward to 5.8% this year from the previous 5.5%, "supported by significant public investment, growth in remittances, and resilient domestic demand."Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, stated that the country's GDP growth for the current year is expected to be in the range of 6.3-6.5%.As reported, Kazakhstan's GDP grew by 6.4% in January-October.In 2024, Kazakhstan's GDP growth was 4.8%. The country's National Bank expects the figure to increase to 5.5%-6.5% in 2025. (ICE ALMATY)
