During the Lower House’s final session to discuss the budget, Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan announced that capital spending on the National Water Carrier Project has doubled to a quarter of a billion dinars over the next four years, and that approximately 100 million dinars have been allocated for the next three years for the Risha Gas Project. He added that the total investment value of the projects exceeds $10 billion, the vast majority of which are local and foreign investments. These projects include the National Water Carrier Project, the Aqaba-Shidiyah/Ma'an-Ghor al-Safi Railway, the Risha Gas Pipeline, and projects in the public transportation, health, energy, and infrastructure sectors, including the launch of the Amra City project, which will serve as the nucleus for a sovereign wealth fund, in addition to other projects.
