INDONESIA SETS US$315 BILLION EXPORT TARGET FOR 2026,EYES US$406 BILLION BY 2029
Indonesia projects steady export growth through 2029, despite a slight dip in the growth rate for 2026. Trade Minister Budi Santoso announced that exports are expected to grow 7.09% next year, just below the 7.1% target for 2025, attributing the slowdown to a higher base after strong recent gains. Export values are forecasted at US$294 billion in 2025 and US$315 billion in 2026, with January–October figures already reaching 6.96% growth this year. The Trade Ministry expects acceleration in subsequent years, aiming for US$405 billion by 2029, with growth rates rising to 7.89% in 2027, 8.77% in 2028, and 9.64% in 2029. To achieve these targets, the government is working with Kadin and GPEI to strengthen trade through business matchmaking and leveraging international agreements, ensuring companies maximize opportunities in global markets.Source: https://jakartaglobe.id/business/indonesia-sets-315-billion-export-target-for-2026-eyes-406-billion-by-2029 (ICE GIACARTA)
