First train carrying Azerbaijani gasoline arrives in Armenia via GeorgiaThe first rolling stock with petroleum products from Azerbaijan has arrived in Armenia through Georgia, the Armenian government's press service said in a statement on Friday."The peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, on the basis of the agreements reached in Washington, has yielded yet another result in the development of our economic cooperation. At their meeting in the Azerbaijani city of Qabala on November 28, Armenian Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Azerbaijani Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev reached an agreement whereby Armenia is to receive 22 railcars of gasoline," the statement said.This initiative is particularly important in the context of efforts to boost mutual confidence between the two countries and advancing their peace agenda, it said.Earlier, Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said on social media that a train with gasoline from Azerbaijan was about to arrive in Armenia for the first time since the breakup of the Soviet Union.The delivery contains 1,300 tonnes of AI-95 gasoline.
