SHUROOQ REAL ESTATE SALES REACH $1.58BN AS FLAGSHIP SHARJAH PROJECTS NEAR SELL-O
The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) reported AED5.8bn ($1.58bn) in real estate investments and partnerships, with sales reaching 96.4 per cent across its flagship developments—Maryam Island, Sharjah Sustainable City and Ajwan in Khorfakkan—highlighting strong local and international demand for Sharjah property. A total of 4,358 out of 4,520 residential units have been sold, reinforcing Sharjah's growing role in the UAE's non-oil economy and investor confidence in high-quality, strategically located developments. Maryam Island achieved a near-complete sell-through of 99 per cent with AED3.14bn in sales, Sharjah Sustainable City fully sold all 1,252 units generating AED2.5bn, while Ajwan recorded AED271m in sales with further growth expected. Backed by strong market fundamentals, rising UAE property prices and Shurooq's consistent delivery strategy, the performance underscores Sharjah's emergence as a competitive, sustainable and investment-driven real estate destination.
