Kazakhstan boosts confectionery production by 6%Kazakhstan produced 93,300 tonnes of confectionery from January to October 2025, up 6% compared to the same period last year, according to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.Confectionery exports rose 9.3% over the period, reaching 18,700 tonnes, up from 17,100 tonnes in 2024. The majority of flour-based confectionery products were shipped to Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.Meanwhile, confectionery imports fell 4.6%, totaling 73,500 tonnes, with imported products accounting for 44.1% of the domestic market. Key suppliers include Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.Domestic sales of confectionery reached 148,100 tonnes in the first 10 months of 2025. (ICE ALMATY)
