INDONESIA IMPLEMENTS NEW GOLD EXPORT DUTY
Starting late 2025, Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance officially introduced an export duty on gold (PMK 80/2025) with rates reaching 15%. This policy aims to drive mineral downstreaming and secure domestic supply. While export-oriented miners face margin pressure, PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) is positioned to benefit. Since Antam focuses on the domestic market, it avoids these levies, potentially strengthening its dominance as local supply increases and gold remains a vital inflation hedge for investors.Source: https://industri.kontan.co.id/news/bea-keluar-emas-berlaku-mulai-tahun-depan-begini-efeknya-terhadap-dominasi-antam (ICE GIACARTA)
