According to TasteAtlas, an experiential travel and gastronomy platform dedicated to traditional food, the “Best Cuisines in the Arab MENA Region 2025” ranking evaluates national cuisines based on aggregated user ratings. TasteAtlas compiles authentic recipes, food critic reviews, and research articles on traditional dishes and ingredients, with rankings derived from user scores submitted on its platform.  The 2025 ranking is based on 590,228 valid ratings covering 18,912 foods in the TasteAtlas database. The platform states that submitted ratings are subject to AI-based filtering to eliminate suspected spam and biased voting, ensuring that final rankings reflect verified user assessments. Annual cuisine rankings are calculated using the average scores obtained from this filtered pool of ratings. On a global level, cuisines from the Arab MENA region featured prominently in the 2025 rankings, with several countries achieving high average scores. Lebanon emerged among the top-performing cuisines worldwide, alongside other regional peers such as Morocco, Palestine, and Egypt, reflecting strong international appreciation for traditional Arab culinary heritage. Lebanon ranked 20th globally in 2025, recording an average rating of 4.34, and secured first place regionally among Arab MENA countries. This positions Lebanese cuisine as the highest-rated in the region, outperforming Morocco, which ranked 30th globally with a rating of 4.25, and Palestine, which ranked 37th globally with a rating of 4.23.  At the regional level, Lebanon led the Arab MENA ranking, followed by Morocco (2nd regionally), Palestine (3rd), Egypt (4th), and Tunisia (5th). Other regional cuisines included Syria (6th), Algeria (7th), Saudi Arabia (8th), Libya (9th), Jordan (10th), Iraq (11th), and Qatar (12th).
