RETAIL IN UKRAINE IS EXPERIENCING SIGNIFICANT GROWTH AND TRANSFORMATION AS THE YEAR CONCLUDES
Odesa’s Ostriv shopping mall ended the year by welcoming new stores including clothing retailers Intertop and Arber, Apollo Next sports space, Toy House, and Pandora jewelry. In Kyiv, Sumy’s seafood chain Dary Morya launched its first store with a unique design, while a newly renovated Spar supermarket debuted in Central Station, now boasting over 140 square meters and an expanded selection of products.Irpin (Kyiv region) saw the opening of its first VARUS supermarket. Retailer Fozzy introduced its inaugural wholesale hypermarket in Chernivtsi, spanning 6,400 square meters. The COMFY household appliances and electronics chain also opened two new locations in Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi at year’s end, bringing the total number of new COMFY stores in 2025 to six. The chain now operates 115 outlets across 54 Ukrainian cities.Meanwhile, the new Mukachevo retail park in Transcarpathia is preparing to welcome SSC and Worldbox shops, along with a large Nova Poshta branch. The park’s first phase, covering more than 8,600 square meters, launched in mid-November and is already over 80% occupied.
