Governor Sugianto Sabran announced a regional development plan for Central Kalimantan divided into three strategic zones. The West Zone will focus on industrial downstreaming for bauxite, silica, and palm oil, alongside marine tourism. The Central Zone is designated for government, food, education, and health sectors.
