Kazakhstan's trade with Turkic states up 11% in first 10 months of 2025Kazakhstan's trade with member countries of the Organization of Turkic States reached $10.4 billion in the first 10 months of 2025, an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2023, the country's deputy minister of national economy, Asan Darbayev, said Thursday.He said at the third general assembly of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry that exports to fellow Turkic states grew 17% to $7.6 billion, while imports totaled $2.8 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $4.8 billion."The results confirm the high potential for further deepening trade and economic cooperation," Darbayev said, adding that they create a solid foundation for joint investment and regional integration.According to ministry data, Turkey remained Kazakhstan's largest trade partner within the bloc, with bilateral trade at $4.36 billion. It was followed by Uzbekistan at $3.88 billion, Kyrgyzstan at $1.78 billion, and Azerbaijan at approximately $390 million. Together, these four countries account for nearly all of Kazakhstan's trade within the Organization of Turkic States. (ICE ALMATY)
