The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has launched the Abu Dhabi Global Water Platform, a US$2 billion initiative aimed at enhancing global water security, expanding access to clean water, and promoting innovation in the water sector. The program, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 6, will initially commit US$1 billion over five years (2026–2030) to benefit around 10 million people worldwide. Focusing on developing countries, the platform supports advanced water technologies, environmental sustainability, and improved quality of life through resilient solutions.
