Kazakhstan's vehicle production surges 17.8% in 2025Kazakhstan's automotive industry recorded a 17.8% increase in production in 2025, manufacturing 171,144 vehicles valued at over 2.3 trillion tenge, the country's automobile union announced Thursday.Output rose from 145,290 units worth 1.9 trillion tenge in 2024, according to the Kazakhstan Automobile Union. The growth was driven by the launch of new assembly plants: Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan in Almaty фтв Kia Qazaqstan in Kostanay last year.Passenger car production reached 158,944 units, while commercial vehicle output totaled 12,200 units.The Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan plant built 15,180 vehicles in its first four months of operation, and the Kia Qazaqstan factory produced 2,885 cars in three months.The Kostanay-based Allur plant remained the largest producer, manufacturing 92,100 vehicles, a 1.8% increase. The Almaty-based Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan produced 52,040 passenger cars, up 14.6% and 754 commercial vehicles, a decrease of 5.3%.Other significant producers included the SemAZ plant (3,728 commercial vehicles), QazTehna in Saran (2,665 commercial units, up 69.1%), and KAMAZ Engineering in Kokshetau (1,426 trucks).Other production figures included Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan in Semei, which produced 341 units, while Uralskagroremmash manufactured 25 units of specialized machinery.The Kazakhstan Automobile Union, established in July 2023, represents manufacturers, component suppliers, importers, dealers, and transport associations across the country's automotive sector.
