TOUKAN: ECONOMIC MODERNIZATION VISION 2026–2029 INCLUDES 392 PROJECTS AT A COST of JD3.8 Billion
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan announced that the government’s executive program for 2026–2029, aimed at advancing economic modernization, was developed using a participatory approach. The program was shaped through 18 sectoral workshops involving around 650 participants. Toukan said the executive program includes 392 projects with an estimated total cost of JD 3.8 billion. She added that the program incorporates 126 key performance indicators and 13 action plans designed to enhance Jordan’s standing in international indicators and reports. The minister also confirmed that the next phase will include the rehabilitation of 495 schools and the training of 70,000 teachers. Additionally, she noted that the executive program features several energy initiatives, including the expansion of green and renewable energy projects. (ICE AMMAN)
