Kazakh maritime carrier posts 15% growth in Caspian container volumesNational maritime carrier Kazmortransflot saw container traffic on the Caspian Sea rise more than 15% in 2025, KazMunayGas (KMG) reported Wednesday.The company moved 59,400 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) on its Aktau–Baku–Aktau feeder route last year, up from 51,400 TEU in 2024."The growth reflects rising demand along the Trans‑Caspian International Transport Route, a key corridor linking Asia and Europe," KMG said.The growth reinforces the carrier's key role in ensuring reliable maritime logistics, diversifying trade routes, and boosting Kazakhstan's transit potential, the company said.Kazmortransflot, a fully owned KMG subsidiary, handles oil, petroleum products and container cargo across the Caspian and supports the development of alternative east‑west transit corridors.
