Kazakhstan diverts oil exports as cpc pipeline faces constraintsKazMunayGas rerouted approximately 300,000 tonnes of oil in December due to ongoing capacity restrictions on the key Caspian Pipeline Consortium system, the Kazakh national company said Friday. The diverted volumes were shipped via alternative routes operated by KazTransOil to markets in Germany and China, through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, and via the Russian ports of Novorossiysk and Ust-Luga."With CPC acceptance restrictions still in place, rerouting measures will continue through January 2026," the company stated.Kazakhstan's oil exports to Germany totaled 2.1 million tonnes in 2025 and are projected to reach 2.5 million tonnes this year. Shipments from the port of Aktau via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan corridor reached 1.3 million tonnes last year, with an expected increase to 1.6 million tonnes in 2026.Exports to China remained stable at 1.1 million tonnes in 2025.
