Indonesia’s EV battery ecosystem advances with CATIB’s new manufacturing facility in Karawang, a joint venture between PT Industri Baterai Indonesia and CATL’s consortium. The plant, spanning 43 hectares, will start with 6.9 GWh capacity and expand to 15 GWh, assembling modules and packs by early 2026 and producing cells later that year.
