The World Bank has announced a comprehensive restructuring of the Enhancing Women’s Economic Opportunities in Jordan (EWEO) program, aimed at accelerating progress and addressing uneven implementation across its various components. According to a report translated by Al-Ghad newspaper, the restructuring represents a critical step toward strengthening the program’s effectiveness and long-term sustainability. It seeks to raise ambition in the areas of financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, while also improving the quality of childcare services—measures intended to enhance Jordanian women’s ability to participate more actively in the national economy.
