IMF sees Kazakhstan’s GDP growth at 6.2% in 2025, trims 2026 outlook to 4.4%The International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates Kazakhstan’s economy grew by 6.2% in 2025, according to its latest World Economic Outlook.In its October report, the IMF had forecast GDP growth of 5.9% for 2025.Kazakhstan’s Economy Ministry said the economy expanded by 6.5% in 2025.The IMF lowered its growth forecast for 2026 to 4.4% from 4.8% and kept its 2027 projection unchanged at 4.2%.Previously, the World Bank forecast Kazakhstan’s GDP growth at 4.5% in 2026 and 3.9% in 2027, while the United Nations projected growth of 4.6% and 4.8%, respectively.Kazakhstan’s GDP grew 4.8% in 2024.
