INDONESIA EYES ON GIANT TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS AT WEF 2026

At the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, Indonesia sought to attract investment from major U.S. technology companies as part of its broader economic diplomacy following trade tariff talks with Washington. Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto met with executives from Nvidia, Amazon Web Services, DocuSign, CrowdStrike, and Cloudflare to explore opportunities in Indonesia’s digital economy, focusing on data centers, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure. Nongsa Digital Park in Batam was highlighted as a key hub for future digital investment. In addition to engaging with U.S. firms, Indonesia also advanced cooperation with Jordan through discussions between Danantara Indonesia and the Jordan Investment Fund. President Prabowo Subianto, in his special address at the Davos Congress Center, emphasized peace and stability as essential foundations for economic growth and underscored the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors to drive Indonesia’s priority economic programs amid global uncertainty.Source: https://rri.co.id/en/business/2129131/indonesia-eyes-on-giant-technology-investments-at-wef-2026 (ICE GIACARTA)
