Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is strengthening research into Tobacco Processing Industry (IHT) equipment to balance innovation with safety. Researcher Bambang Prasetya highlighted that studies on heated tobacco products showed an 88% reduction in specific toxicants compared to conventional cigarettes, though standardized testing remains crucial.
