Kazatomprom boosted uranium output 11% in 2025Kazakhstan-based National Atomic Company Kazatomprom (KAP) posted a 11% increase in uranium production in the twelve months of 2025 to 25,839 tonnes, compared with the same period of the previous year, the company said in a press release.The production volume on an attributable basis, which corresponds only to the size of the company’s interest in other companies, grew by 10% to make 13,519 tonnes.In the reporting period, the sales of uranium concentrate (U3O8) by Kazatomprom and its consolidated subsidiaries rose by 11% to 18,495 tonnes, and the average realized price of U3O8 decreased by 6% to $65.10.The uranium production guidance for 2026 was revised upward to 27,500-29,000 tonnes on a 100% basis and to 14,500-15,500 tonnes on an attributable basis. The 2026 uranium sale target for the group was set at 19,500-20,500 tonnes.National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC is the national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan for export of uranium and its compounds, rare metals, nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants, special equipment, technologies and dual-use materials. Kazatomprom is controlled by Kazakhstan’s Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC (62.99%) and Ministry of Finance (12.01%), the remaining 25% are in free float. (ICE ALMATY)
