48,000 NEW JOBS CREATED IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2025
Data from the Department of Statistics indicate that 48,403 net new jobs were created in the Jordanian labor market during the first half of 2025. This figure reflects continued improvement in economic activity, with expectations that total job creation could approach 100,000 by the end of the year. The growth is largely driven by expanding employment opportunities in productive sectors, alongside stronger domestic demand for labor. The net number of new jobs is calculated by subtracting the total number of jobs exited by individuals from the total number of jobs obtained during the same six-month reference period. (ICE AMMAN)
