Kazakhstan boosts grain exports by 21% in current marketing yearKazakhstan has exported 5.8 million tonnes of grain since the start of the current marketing year in September 2025, a 20.8% increase from the same period last year, the Ministry of Agriculture reported Tuesday.Shipments have risen significantly to several key regional markets, according to the ministry. Exports to Uzbekistan grew by 49% from 1,800 tonnes to 2,7 tonnes, to Kyrgyzstan by 71% from 95,000 tonnes to 163,000 tonnes, and to Afghanistan by 93% from 216,000 tonnes to 416,000 tonnes.The Ministry of Agriculture maintains its target to export 13 million tonnes of grain from the new harvest in the 2025/26 agricultural year, a level nearly unchanged from the previous season.Kazakhstan's grain harvest in 2025 reached 27 million tonnes, a 2% increase from the 26.5 million tonnes harvested in 2024.
