Kazakhstan's Business Activity Index increased to 50.8 points in JanKazakhstan's Business Activity Index returned to positive zone in January, reaching 50.8 points, the press service of the country's National Bank reported."In January 2026, business activity improved and returned to positive zone, reaching 50.8 points ( compared to 49.9 points in December)," Rustem Orazalin, Director of the Monetary Policy Department of the National Bank is quoted as saying in the statement.Last month, business activities grew in the services sector to 52.1 points from 49.0 a month earlier, in manufacturing to 50.8 from 52.0, and in trade to 50.3 from 51.3.In construction and mining, despite improved trends, business activity remained in the decline zone or 47.1 and 49.1 respectively, compared to 45,4 and 49,4 in December.The Business Climate Index, which is an average of the current and future business conditions, demonstrated a decrease to 4.4 points from 5.2 points in December 2025.The National Bank notes that, according to business surveys, the growth rate of demand for goods/service improved in all sectors except manufacturing.
