KAZAKHSTAN-PAKISTAN-BUSINESS-AGREEMENTS
Kazakhstan, Pakistan sign 32 commercial documents worth $200 mlnThirty-two commercial documents worth approximately $200 million were signed as part of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan business forum, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan reported.The agreements are aimed at developing Kazakh-Pakistani cooperation in the fields of finance, logistics, industry, energy, the agro-industrial complex, digital services, and infrastructure.The largest industrial agreement is a $108 million contract between Falcon EuroBus LLP and Pakistan's QCC International for the supply of Kazakhstan-manufactured electric buses to Pakistan.A significant set of agreements concerns the launch of joint investment mechanisms and the development of financial infrastructure. In particular, Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the Fauji Group agreed to create a joint investment platform for implementing projects in Kazakhstan and Pakistan. Baiterek JSC is expanding cooperation with Habib Bank Limited in the areas of project and trade financing, as well as with TCS Private Limited in the transport and logistics segment.Freedom Holding Corp. and Freedom Bank Kazakhstan JSC signed agreements with Pakistani partners, including an agreement with Meezan Bank Limited on developing correspondent relations and international settlements worth $20 million.In the transport and logistics sector, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) JSC and the National Logistics Corporation agreed on cooperation in multimodal transportation and transit. Kazpost JSC signed memoranda with Pakistan Post and TCS Private Limited on developing postal and logistics infrastructure and implementing digital solutions. The Aktau International Sea Trade Port and the Port of Karachi agreed to expand cooperation in port logistics.In the industrial sector, agreements were reached on establishing a $20 million joint venture for sugar production in the Zhetysu region between KazFoodProducts and Almoiz Group, as well as a memorandum signed between Kusto Group and QazTrade on developing a $20 million construction materials production facility.In the chemical and processing industry, agreements were signed between BARK Qazaqstan LLP and Pakistani partners, as well as a memorandum on launching chemical production in the Kyzylorda region between NorSon Chemical Industries and the Bayqongyr SPC.Separate agreements cover digital services, IT, and telecommunications. Astana Hub and IGNITE Pakistan signed a memorandum of cooperation in developing startup ecosystems; QazCode and Jazz Pakistan agreed on cooperation in the telecommunications sector.Agreements were also signed in the educational, medical, and space fields, including agreements between "Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary" (KGS) JSC and SUPARCO on scientific and technical cooperation and the exchange of satellite data.Furthermore, agreements in the field of Islamic financing were concluded between Otbasy Bank and Meezan Bank Limited, as well as agreements aimed at developing the agro-industrial complex and strengthening business ties between the trade and industrial organizations of the two countries.
