SUNVIEW TO DIVERSIFY INTO SOLAR POWER GENERATION
Kuala Lumpur, 5 February 2026 – Sunview Group Bhd has proposed diversifying into solar power generation, aiming for the segment to contribute over 25% of future profits by acquiring two 50MW solar plants, a move expected to provide more stable, recurring income and reduce reliance on its EPCC business. The plan includes acquiring a 79%-complete 50MW plant in Pekan, Pahang for RM70 million (approximately EUR 14,704,646.67) and the entire equity of JAKS Solar Nibong Tebal Sdn Bhd for RM15 million (approximately EUR 3,151,000.71) plus up to RM40 million (approximately EUR 8,402,655.24) in shareholders’ advances, subject to shareholder approval at an EGM. The diversification could lift power generation to over 25% of group profit before tax by FY2026.Source - https://theedgemalaysia.com/node/791953 (ICE KUALA LUMPUR)
