NEA, SIT OPEN NEW TRAINING HUB TO EQUIP 400 IN ENERGY EFFICIENCY
[The National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) have opened the Energy Efficiency Training Facility at the SIT Punggol Campus, according to a press release. The 430-square-metre facility will train 400 professionals and students, providing 1,500 hours of training annually. It houses equipment for pumps, compressed air, lighting, fans, electric motors, and air-conditioning systems, including heat pumps, boilers, and steam traps. “By bringing industry-grade systems in-house, learners will benefit from more structured, scalable, and immersive training, strengthening workforce readiness and supporting Singapore’s energy efficiency and decarbonisation efforts,” said Chua Kee Chaing, SIT President.
