MTI UPGRADES GDP FORECAST TO 2% TO 4% FOR 2026 AMIDST STRONG GLOBAL ECONOMIC GRO
Singapore’s GDP growth for 2026 is now projected at 2% to 4%, up from the previous forecast of 1% to 3%, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) said in a press statement. The economy expanded 5% in 2025, slightly below the 5.3% growth recorded in 2024, according to MTI. In the fourth quarter of 2025, the economy grew 6.9% year on year, faster than the 4.6% recorded in the third quarter, MTI data showed. On a quarter-on-quarter seasonally adjusted basis, the economy grew 2.1%, down from 2.6% in the previous quarter.
