€201 MILLION FROM THE EBRD ACROSS 10 PROJECTS
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) invested approximately €201 million in Jordan last year through 10 investment and financing projects. According to the bank’s annual report on investments in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean, 86% of EBRD’s investments in Jordan in 2025 were directed to the private sector, with more than 44% allocated to green finance. In addition, 80% of the job opportunities generated by these projects went to women and youth. The report, translated by Al-Ghad newspaper, also noted that the bank expanded its lending to Jordanian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) during the past year. (ICE AMMAN)
