JORDAN EDGES UP ON GLOBAL CORRUPTION INDEX
Jordan posted a measured improvement on the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index, gaining one point to reach a score of 50 out of 100 and ranking 56th globally, as several international governance indicators pointed to stronger enforcement and accountability mechanisms in the public sector. The results were released on Tuesday by Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency, the national chapter of Transparency International, based on assessments from eight independent international sources. The index measures perceived levels of public-sector corruption, with scores ranging from zero (highest perceived corruption) to 100 (highest integrity). (ICE AMMAN)
