The Department of Statistics has released its monthly report on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), showing that inflation reached 1.06% in January 2026 compared with the same month in 2025. The index also recorded a slight increase of 0.17% (less than one percentage point) compared with December 2025. Accordingly, the overall Consumer Price Index for January 2026 stood at 113.42, compared with 112.23 for January 2025. It also reached 113.42 in January 2026, up from 113.22 in December 2025.
