Kuala Lumpur, 7 February 2026 – Kuala Lumpur’s city centre was transformed into a temporary street circuit at the Petronas Twin Towers esplanade for the official launch of the 2026 MotoGP season, marking the first time the event was held in the Malaysian capital and highlighting the country’s role as a global motorcycling hub. Thousands of fans watched a 1.5km showcase featuring 20 top riders, including Marc Marquez, Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia, who paraded their bikes and performed stunts despite light rain, alongside the unveiling of the 2026 line-ups and liveries. The festival-style event also featured performances by The Script, DJ Pawsa and DOLLA. The season will begin with the Thailand GP from February 27 to March 1, followed by a final pre-season test in Buriram on February 21–22, before returning to Malaysia for the Sepang GP from October 30 to November 1.Source - https://themalaysianreserve.com/2026/02/07/petronas-twin-towers-turns-street-circuit-as-motogp-launches-2026-season-in-kl/ (ICE KUALA LUMPUR)
