President of Kazakhstan discussed investment cooperation in AI with Sunwah GroupKazakhstan is interested in strengthening practical cooperation with China in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), the press service of the head of state reported following a meeting between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Sunwah Group Chairman Cai Guanshen."According to the President, the world has entered an era of active development in artificial intelligence, in which China occupies a leading position. In this regard, he expressed interest in strengthening practical cooperation with the Chinese side in this area," the statement following the meeting reads.Investment cooperation was a particular focus of the meeting with Cai Guanshen. The head of state noted that Kazakhstan consistently creates favorable conditions for attracting foreign investment and provides comprehensive support for joint strategic projects.Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan is committed to actively developing its long-term comprehensive strategic partnership with the People's Republic of China. In this context, he noted the successful implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, first unveiled in Astana in 2013 by Chinese President Xi Jinping.Praising the dynamic development of trade and economic ties between the two countries, Tokayev noted that China is currently Kazakhstan's largest trading partner, with trade volumes breaking new records annually.In turn, Cai Guanshen expressed gratitude to the head of state for the warm welcome. He praised Kazakhstan's status as an attractive and reliable investment jurisdiction for investors, particularly in the financial sector. He attributed this largely to the consistent support of President Tokayev and Chinese President Xi Jinping.During the meeting, promising areas of cooperation in finance, energy, digitalization, medicine, agriculture, and construction were also discussed.Sunwah Group was founded in 1957 in Hong Kong.
