It was noted that this is the largest order in the airline's history.It was also reported that in November 2025, Air Astana announced the signing of a contract with Boeing Co. for the delivery of up to 15 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The airline's Senior Vice President, Erbolat Baisalykov, stated that Air Astana expects the delivery of 4 long-range Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2026.Air Astana is the largest Kazakh air carrier, which includes the low-cost airline FlyArystan.
