Kyrgyz and Kazakh foreign ministers hold talks on bilateral cooperationKyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev held negotiations with his Kazakh counterpart, Yermek Kosherbayev, who arrived in Bishkek for an official visit on Friday, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry's press service announced.During the meeting, the ministers discussed the construction of an industrial trade and logistics hub on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border, the development of a wholesale distribution center in the Almaty region for storing fruit and vegetables, and the construction of an alternative Issyk-Kul–Almaty highway. The officials also addressed the modernization of border crossing points and bridges along the shared state border.Beyond infrastructure development, the two sides noted significant untapped potential for interregional cooperation, particularly in agriculture and industrial partnerships. They agreed to conduct a joint assessment of existing opportunities to further deepen economic ties. (ICE ALMATY)
