DANANTARA WILL AUCTION WASTE TO ENERGY PROJECT PHASE II IN 12 CITIES
Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI), in collaboration with the Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry of Food Affairs, is preparing the second batch of tenders for Waste-to-Energy (WtE) projects across 12 cities and districts. The first batch, covering Bali, Bogor, Bekasi, and Yogyakarta, is already underway, with winners expected to be announced by March 2026 after evaluations of technical, financial, and technological aspects. Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, CEO of BPI Danantara, confirmed that the second batch will be launched following further coordination with the ministry. For the first batch, 24 companies applied, with five Chinese firms making the shortlist: Chongqing Sanfeng Environment Group Corp., Ltd., Wangneng Environment Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection Co. Ltd., SUS Indonesia Holding Limited, and PT Jinjiang Environment Indonesia.
