Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover grew by 1.3% to $143.9 bln in 2025Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover in January-December 2025 amounted to $143.9 billion, a 1.3% increase YoY, the Republic's Bureau of National Statistics reported.Exports for the reporting period decreased by 3.2% to $79.0 billion, while imports grew by 7.4% to $64.9 billion.Kazakhstan's trade turnover with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in January-December 2025 amounted to $30.9 billion, which is 0.1% less than in 2024. Exports to EAEU countries decreased by 8.3% to $10.1 billion, while imports increased by 4.4% to $20.8 billion.In the structure of trade with EAEU countries, the largest share falls on Russia - 88.6%, followed by Kyrgyzstan - 7.3%, Belarus - 3.9%, and Armenia - 0.2%.The basis of Kazakhstan's exports in 2025 consisted of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous minerals (50.5%), radioactive chemical elements and isotopes (5.3%), refined copper and unprocessed copper alloys (5.2%), copper ores and concentrates (3.6%), and ferroalloys (2.6%).In imports, the largest share was accounted for by passenger cars (4.4%), medicinal products (2.8%), telephone sets (2.4%), bodies for motor vehicles (2.3%), and parts and accessories for motor vehicles (2.2%).The key sales markets for Kazakhstani products were Italy (19.8%), China (19.2%), Russia (10.3%), the Netherlands (7.6%), Turkey (4.9%), and Uzbekistan (4.5%).The main suppliers of goods to Kazakhstan were Russia (29.7%), China (29.2%), Germany (4.8%), the Republic of Korea (3.5%), the USA (3.3%), and France (2.4%).
