Pulse and oilseed processing plant launched in SemeyA new pulse and oilseed processing plant has been commissioned in the city of Semey in eastern Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Agriculture's press service reported.The facility processes lentils, flax, beans, corn, buckwheat, and other agricultural crops. Its processing capacity is 72,000 tonnes of crops and production capacity is 800 tonnes of finished products a year.The products are targeted at both the domestic market and exports, with deliveries planned to European countries, China, Turkey and African nations.Total investment in the project amounted to 4.1 billion tenge.The plant was built on the premises of Agrolider KAZ LLP and is equipped with modern production equipment. The company, founded in 2023, specializes in producing cereals, flour, and other food products. (ICE ALMATY)
