Kazakhstan plans 13 oilseed processing projects worth 94 bln tenge over three years Kazakhstan plans to launch 13 oilseed processing projects worth 94 billion tenge over the next three years, Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov said Tuesday."Processing is a crucial step. In this regard, systematic work is underway to expand the capacity of oil processing plants and modernize their technology," Saparov said at a government meeting.He noted that the 13 projects, totaling 94 billion tenge, are planned for launch over the next three years.Saparov recalled that four major projects totaling 58 billion tenge with a combined capacity of about 1 million tonnes were taken into commercial operation in 2024-2025. The projects were carried out by Altai May LLP, Shyn Zhang ZHUO ANG-Sunkar LLP, Kapshagai Bidai Onimderi LLP and Maslo-Del LLP.A production line for lecithin, an innovative product, has been commissioned in the East Kazakhstan region. Another lecithin production facility will also be commissioned this year in the North Kazakhstan region, the minister said.The agricultural processing sector is showing steady growth, he added.Food production reached 3.9 trillion tenge in 2025, up 8.1% from 3.3 trillion tenge in 2024. Fixed capital investments more than doubled, rising to 389.4 billion tenge, compared with 182.7 billion tenge in 2024."Exports of processed products totaled $3.2 billion in the first 11 months of 2025, up 33.8% from the same period last year. Processed products accounted for 52% of total agro-industrial complex exports. This reflects the results of systematic efforts to diversify production and increase the share of high value-added products," Saparov said. (ICE ALMATY)
