The  Federal Tax Authority  (FTA) reported strong growth in the UAE's tax system, with Corporate Tax registrants reaching approximately 710,000, VAT registrants rising to 573,000 and Excise Tax registrants totaling 1,767, as reviewed by  Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum  during a board meeting. The update also highlighted AED94.44 million ($25.7m) in VAT refunds approved for UAE nationals building new homes, alongside major digital transformation efforts, including expanded AI adoption to streamline tax services. The FTA implemented 75 initiatives under the Digital Zero Bureaucracy Program and advanced key projects such as the integrated EmaraTax system, the Domestic Minimum Top-Up Tax (Pillar Two) framework and the e-Invoicing system, reinforcing efficient tax compliance and supporting the nation's economic diversification goals.
