Fixed capital investment in Kazakhstan rose 3.4% in JanuaryFixed capital investment in Kazakhstan reached 896 billion tenge in January 2026, marking a 3.4% increase compared to the same period in 2025, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms reported.Industrial production continued to attract the largest share of investment, accounting for 50.1% of the total, including 21.9% in the mineral resource sector and 14% in manufacturing.Real estate transactions made up 22.5% of investments, transportation and warehousing sector 9.6%, and agriculture, forestry and fisheries 4.1%.Spending on the acquisition of machinery, equipment, vehicles and their major repairs increased by 57.7% year-on-year.Equity capital of business entities remained the main source of investment, totaling 640.5 billion tenge, while large enterprises contributed 337.2 billion tenge. State budget funds accounted for 6.9% of the total investment, own funds 71.5%, bank loans 10.1%, other borrowed funds 11.5%, including 5.3 % from non-residents. (ICE ALMATY)
