UKRAINE INCREASED ITS BIOETHANOL EXPORTS BY NEARLY 12% LAST YEAR, WITH THE EU PURCHASING OVER 96%.

In 2025, Ukraine exported 111,200 tons of bioethanol, which is 11.9% more than in 2024. The highest supply volumes occurred in February, March, and April, while the lowest were in September, October, and November. Broken down quarterly, the largest export volume was in the first quarter – 39,000 tons. Export activity gradually declined in the second and third quarters but showed a slight recovery in the fourth quarter. The export geography remained stable: 96.2% of Ukrainian bioethanol was exported to EU countries, with the remainder sent to Switzerland. Lithuania has traditionally been the key market, accounting for 57.9% of total exports.Throughout the year, nine companies exported bioethanol. The largest exporter was First Podilsk Energy Company, accounting for 32.7% of the total volume, though this was a 5.8% decrease from 2024. Among the top five exporters, Westnol showed the most dynamic growth (+682.2%), followed by Vitagro Bio Trade (+70.3%). Notably, Westnol began exporting only in November 2024, which partly explains its rapid growth.https://ubn.news/ukraine-increased-its-bioethanol-exports-by-nearly-12-last-year-with-the-eu-purchasing-over-96/ (ICE KIEV)
