According to the Greek Government Policy Plan, 2026 is expected to be a landmark year for the transformation of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations into a Sovereign Wealth Fund. The fund aims to maximise the value of public assets (with a portfolio worth over 5.5 billion euros) through investments, restructuring of subsidiaries, and sustainable development. Regarding contracts following the completion of the concession process for the Egnatia Motorway and the Northern Road Axis of Crete (BOAK) in the Chania-Heraklion section in 2025, the following projects will be implemented: - - Launch of the process to exploit the first 1,000 of the total 36,000 properties of the Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC) - - Final award of the tender for Kalamata Airport - - Award of the tender for the cruise ports of Kavala and Katakolo - - Signing of the contract for the Lavrio Port Authority - - Commencement of the concession for the marinas of Argostoli and Pylos - - Entry of a strategic investor in Hellenic Saltworks SA. At the same time, through the GrowthFund, emblematic projects for the utilisation and sustainable regeneration of the urban environment-such as TIF-Helexpo and the "Andreas Lentakis Government Park" aswell as infrastructure projects, including the renovation of the Athens Student Residence and the creation of logistics parks in Athens (Fyli) and Thessaloniki (Gkonou camp), will be advanced.
