INDONESIA AND U.S. SECURE LANDMARK $38.4 BILLION TRADE AND INVESTMENT PACT
During the 2026 US-Indonesia Business Summit in Washington D.C., President Prabowo Subianto finalized a massive $38.4 billion (IDR 649 trillion) cooperation agreement with the U.S. The deal allocates $4.5 billion to agricultural imports—including soy, wheat, and corn—and a staggering $33.9 billion to manufacturing. A major highlight is the $31.6 billion earmarked for the semiconductor industry. Supported by the new Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART), the pact aims to enhance market access, transparency, and Indonesia’s role in global supply chains for digital innovation and critical minerals.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5426334/ri-as-sepakati-komitmen-kerja-sama-lintas-sektor-senilai-rp64942-t (ICE GIACARTA)
