The National Investment Commission has held an expanded meeting to discuss a comprehensive investment roadmap for the development of Dulmaj [Delmaj] Marsh into an integrated tourism reserve.The proposed project aims to establish a network of multi-use tourism villages within a sustainable environmental framework aligned with national economic development objectives.According to the Commission, the Delmaj Marsh project is intended to support local economic growth, stimulate tourism investment and diversify economic activity, while contributing to food security and sustainable development.Key components under review include:Eco-tourism facilities designed to preserve the natural ecosystemSports and water tourism infrastructure for recreational activities and eventsHealth and wellness tourism based on the marsh's natural characteristicsCultural and heritage tourism to promote local identityAgricultural and fisheries investment to strengthen productive capacity and food securityThe Commission emphasised the need for coordination between government entities and the private sector to ensure implementation in line with international standards, balancing investment attraction with environmental protection and biodiversity preservation.The meeting concluded with a recommendation to develop a comprehensive strategic framework to optimise the marsh's environmental and economic potential and position it as a new destination for investment capable of generating added value and employment opportunities.
