Kazakhstan boosts grain exports 18.5% to 6.4 mln tonnes in 2025-2026 crop yearKazakhstan exported 6.4 million tonnes of grain from the start of the current crop year (September 2025 through August 2026), up 18.5% from 5.4 million tonnes in the same period a year earlier, the Agriculture Ministry’s press service said Thursday.Exports of Kazakh grain to Uzbekistan rose by 50% to 3 million tonnes (2 million tonnes a year earlier); to Kyrgyzstan by 70% to 180,000 tonnes (104,000 tonnes); and to Afghanistan by 90% to 466,000 tonnes (236,000 tonnes).As previously reported, the Agriculture Ministry plans to export 13 million tonnes of newly harvested grain to foreign markets in the current crop year, broadly matching the previous season.In 2025, Kazakhstan increased its grain harvest by 2% to 27 million tonnes, with average yields of 1.7 tonnes per hectare.
